I have been a long time fan of local designer, Nicole Bridger. What excites me the most about her brand, was learning that she started out designing and creating her line from her own home and over time grew to build her own manufacturing factory and flagship store here in Vancouver. She has created a fashion line for a new generation of women who want to look effortlessly chic while maintaining a commitment to the earth and its people. She is truly an inspiration to me as a female entrepreneur and I can only hope that my brand will evolve to the same level as her’s one day.
With many of her pieces being maternity friendly, I had a very hard time choosing only three looks to highlight today. Every item flatters the natural curves of a woman’s body, making her feel graceful and elegant in any setting and any period of her life. With such a gorgeous stretch to the fabrics and elastic waistbands in many of the shorts and pants, her collection can easily transition with you from pre through to post-pregnancy.
Let me introduce you to the Goddess Dress. As soon as I put this dress on I fell in love with it. Designed by Nicole when she was pregnant herself, the flatteringly draped skirt and scoop neck make this dress ever-so elegant. Made from a blend of Tencel (which comes from eucalyptus), and a super stretchy spandex jersey, this dress will transition effortlessly throughout my entire pregnancy as my bump gets bigger. I’ve worn it here with some BCBG gold stillettos for a night out, but this dress can easily be paired with a metallic flat sandal for a gorgeous day look.

My favorite element of this dress is the gorgeous draping both in front and back. You can’t help but feel like a Grecian goddess when wearing it.
Gold link chain from Zara and stacked gold bangles from Melanie Auld.

This next look is perfect for a summer lunch on the patio! Made from 100% silk, the Bliss Shorts are a must have this season. The light weight fabric is so comfortable and I love that silk is a natural renewable resource, making this item earth friendly. The elastic waistband allowed me to easily wear them with my baby bump…..and who doesn’t love pockets in a pair of shorts?!

Paired here with a sheer blouse from Smart Set, cardigan from Forever 21, metallic leather clutch from the GAP, Panama hat from Aritzia and my favorite gold Bella bracelet.
And for those who thought I only like neutrals 😉 here is one of my all time favorite pieces from Nicole’s collection this season. This Kimono was created using artwork from local artist, Zoe Pawlak and came with me on my Babymoon to Maui this past June. I wore it everyday to the beach and I announced my pregnancy in it on Instagram.
I have paired it here with a Indigo skirt from Nicole Bridger, white tank top, gorgeous gold accessories from Melanie Auld and a pair of patent heels from Guess. This kimono also looks awesome with a pair of denim shorts or simply worn over your favorite bikini!
Some of my other favorite pieces from Nicole’s collection include the Bliss Pants and Honour Jacket, which are both maternity friendly. Shop her entire collection here.

You look so beautiful in all these clothes! I’m a huge fan of Nicole Bridger too. That goddess dress is amazing! I have that skirt in burgundy and wore it while pregnant and before and now after! I think I need that kimono.

Thanks, Cher! I can’t get over how versatile her pieces are. The skirt is my favorite…you can dress it up or down and it’s soooo comfy!
